Jesus Christ I hope so... never seen somebody that hadn't committed any "crimes" besides sending out some tweets be treated like such garbage. You'd think he hired hitler with how this was responded to.

Horny was on the Baylor staff for nine years. Either he knows more than Herman is representing, or he is a clueless, ignorant bastard. Nine years and he knew nothing, saw nothing and said nothing.

Ok, we believe that. Would it been his keen powers of observation that ensured the head coach was fully informed of all important matters that landed him the UT job?

Let's not forget Horny's title was "Assistant Director of Football Operations." With full understanding of both the Baylor program and the Pepper Hamilton report, Horny publicly stated he believed the Briles, the guy who walked away a multi-millionaire, was the true victim in what happened, not any of the women who were assaulted. Why is Horny's title germane? Because at the same time Briles was fired, the Director of Football Operations was also fired. Just try to convince me that Director of Football Operations and the Assistant Director of Football Operations never talked about the biggest issue facing the program. Better yet, let Casey Horny address the question directly.

Now Horny is on the UT campus, passing along his belief system to young student athletes that the multimillionaire, not the rape victims, is where sympathy should be directed. Are you kidding me? At best, he is a clueless bastard or someone who believes the little sluts got what they deserved for drinking on campus. At worst, he is an apologist for someone who perpetuated a culture of rape on a college campus, just to help the football team win an extra game or two.

These are not just accusations of multiple rapes. There have been multiple convictions of former Baylor players. And Horny either knew and wasn't bothered or knew nothing. Do we really want a coach on staff who would look the other way at felony rape by student athletes, just to win an extra game or two? Do we even want a coach on campus who lacked the ability to keep the head coach properly informed of a major felony rape scandal within the program that lasted for years?

How is Casey Horny qualified to be on the UT staff?

Because Tom Herman is putting his personal friendship ahead of the best interests of the program. And if anyone should come to any other conclusion, I would love to know a different justification for Herman keeping him on the UT staff.

And, are for your Hitler comment, I would offer that anyone who sent out tweets claiming Adolph Hitler was the true victim of WWII, and not the six million Jews who died would be unqualified to join the UT football staff. Likewise, I don't want anyone on staff who believes murdering a six million Jews was unquestionably justified for any end result'.

The felony behavior of the Baylor athletes was a direct result of Art Briles' failure to exercise proper leadership over that program. He either knew, or should reasonably have known what was going on. Even if we take the lower number of 17 assaults involving 19 players and at least four gang rapes, it is a major scandal that the staff of the program should have been aware of. To publicly claim Art Briles is the real victim, not the women who were raped, should disqualify anyone from association with college athletics and should disqualify them from every being allowed on the UT campus.

I am much less willing to indict somebody that I don't know on a matter that I have no intimate details about... as far as we know it is just as likely that he didn't know anything, than the converse. And from your post, while full of emotion, you didn't state anything that leads me to believe that you have any more intimate details than I do.

I can appreciate your stance and I agree that anybody with knowledge of it should burn... but I'm also not willing to shit all over a persons name with no actual evidence of wrongdoing. Just my opinion. If you are willing to, that is your choice.

I fully understand how long he was at Baylor... and that is a fact. I am not saying that he didn't know anything. But I am saying there isn't anything factual that says he did... I have zero clue how BU ran their program or who was privy to what.

I am also not willing to make that assumption because that means that Herman and the UT admin, that approved the hire, have sketchy morals. Again, not willing to make that assumption.

I'm not indicting anyone. I'm questioning why Horny was hired in the first place (what possible competency could he have displayed during his nine "clueless" years at Baylor?), whether he has the judgment to be mentoring student athletes ("Art Briles was the real victim in all this") and how possibly his contribution to the program justifies the distraction he has caused.

Just because someone is wholly unqualified for a position at UT doesn't mean they are being "shit all over."

Briles' staff at Baylor was wholly unqualified to be involved with college athletics, as they utterly failed to properly monitor the activities of their players or to ensure those players who posed a threat to the continued safety of students on campus were not allowed to remain with the program.

At best, Casey Horny is utterly incapable of properly monitoring a college football program to ensure the head coach is aware of the most important problems involving the program. As a staff member of a college football program, he is beyond worthless. Even if he knew nothing, he had an undeniable responsibility to know what was going on. NINETEEN players involved in felony assaults, including at least four gang rapes. Casey Horny didn't have even a scintilla of a clue and we want THAT level of oversight running the UT program?

We need better than to believe the possibility of a massive rape scandal could be ongoing within the program and the staff has previously demonstrated they don't have the faintest of hopes of finding out for years. Texas has the financial wherewithal to hire competent staff members, not clueless idiots such as Casey Horny.

Tom Herman owes it to the students on campus not to hire people who have a previous history of not being able to detect long running problems within the program they are overseeing.

This was a culture of rape that went on for years under Casey Horny's nose. Why is he so highly qualified to bring his demonstrated level of management and oversight to UT Austin? I would argue he has no business bringing what he brought to the Baylor campus onto the UT campus.

This is the second time on this board that you have compared the situation at Baylor to Hitler and the Jews.

That alone eliminates whatever credibility you might have ever had as well as ever being taken seriously on any subject whatsover.
