you are hereby free to post at your leisure... just as the majority of us members, all the while keeping the mindset of "respect" as per others. upon this most important point... i am undoubtably certain, that our experienced and yet very courteous "mods" would openly agree.

Well, Larry Brown has more NBA experience than most college coaches. Wouldn't be a bad choice for Turner, either.

I know it's hard to look at objectively, but in 06-07 when Durant was here, we were coming of five years where we saw one Final Four, One Elite Eight and Two Sweet Sixteens. Compare that to now where in the past five years where we have failed to advance past the first round.
Duke and Kansas are basketball royalty. Nine national titles between them (remind me how many we have?), and two coaches considered among the best of all time.

I truly am sorry if my opinion hurt your feelings and my facts don't coincide with yours. Maybe we'll get lucky, but in the end these type of decisions usually don't go our way. When is the last time Barnes landed the top player in the state?

Wow, you make it sound like he would really stick out here at Texas as opposed to being one of many at a place like Duke or KU.

I completely understand why he would choose Texas now.

This must have broke right after he broke the news that SMU will not be going to the NCAA tourney. It were coming from someone not named Mike Fisher, it'd be a little more concerning.

It will be interesting to see how his recruitment turns out. Seems to me that next year, with the nice roster that Texas has returning and the addition of our stretch three, Jordan Barnett; that Texas would be a perfect show case for Myles to show his stuff. Plus he gets to be a lifetime Texas hero. SMU not making the Big Dance probably helps our chances a little despite his reported chummy relationship with Emmanuel Mudiay. At this point in the game Turner's recruitment seems more akin to Kevin Durant's recruitment than that of Julius Randle from last year. From what I have read, Myles and his parents seem to be very keen on doing what is best for Myles. There does not seem to be any hype and intrigue around this recruitment, like you see with so many other kids. Time will tell. I am keeping my eyes, er, fingers crossed!
