My personal issue with Watson

That was probably the most reasonable analogy that I have seen on this topic. You all make good points, but I guess that one hit closest to home for me.
I don't have to "like" him, but I guess I should at least give him a chance.
Brother, if he is going to be on the 40 acres, he will run into Colt at some point. Let's have the two of them sort it out

Well. I think it is worth a conversation. Let's ask him what he said and why. He was part of a staff and culture at Nebraska that didn't exactly ooze class. I'm sure he'll have to make the circuit at some point. Let's see how he handles it. How he responds will tell you more about him as a coach and person than anything else. Regardless, if we don't improve greatly on O his seat will be hot along with the HC. As it should.
I don't mind my coaches being passionate, in fact we needed a little more of that, but we are not in need of a coach who trash talks opposing players.

This board has not exactly "oozed" class the last 6 weeks, but somehow we are beyond criticism?

I think this is between him and Colt...Colt could get fired as well, as a matter of fact most on here criticize Ash for not being a fiery leader like Colt.

Total BS. I could care less what he did in the heat of that moment. If I had been on their sideline, I would have been livid and insane too.

How do we know they haven't already worked it out?

At this point, just win the dang games (by the rules, of course).

I think if you ask Colt about it, he probably couldn't care less about it, JMO. Does Watson have a history of talking trash to opposing players? Does anyone know what he actually said to Colt? If he did say something out of line, my question is, who hasn't done something that they wish they never had? I'll give the guy a chance and see what he's about. Hopefully he can do a great job during his time here.

If I saw it again, I would probably get REALLY pissed. However it isn't only because he got in Colt's face however inexcusable that is, it is that I don't want ANY coach that is not in control of their emotions. A coach should be able to control himself and thinking about what to do next AT ALL TIMES. How are you going to teach your players not to draw a personal foul for doing something stupid if you can't control yourself. That is why Watson will probably be in the booth and away from the players.

My guess if you asked Colt about it, he probably wouldn't even remember the incident. We fans tend to hold on to things like this for much longer.

I just hope some of you are never judged on a single incident in your life where you did not act your best. A lot of people living in glass houses on these threads.

Couldn't agree more. I feel like if McCoy was asked, his response would be a simple "Huh?" The incident wasn't a big deal and it lasted for all of a second.
