Every since the game clock reached triple zeroes on Oct. 14th I've been borderline obsessed with how Texas could exact revenge on the land thieves. And after ISU's upset TCU I realized that it's still possible for this to happen; and it's not too far fetched. A lot has to happen but most importantly, UT HAS TO win out. Here's my "perfect storm" for how UT plays HoeU in the Big 12 championship:
There are (4) teams currently sitting at 4-1 in the conference: TCU, ISU, OSU, and HoeU. Just below them at 3-2 are Texas and WVU. Their respective schedules are as follows with wins/losses:
TCU ISU OSU HoeU WVU
L Texas L @WVU L HoeU W @OSU W ISU
L @HoeU W OSU L @ISU W TCU W @KSU
W @TTU W @BU W KSU W @KU L UT
W BU L @KSU W KU W WVU L @HoeU
TCU loses this week to Texas and next week to Hoe U to end the season with a 6-3 conference record (very reasonable). ISU loses at WVU (possible), wins at home against OSU (iffy) and loses at KSU (possible, Manhattan is tough) to end 6-3. OSU takes it on the chin in bedlam, loses at ISU (iffy) and wins out to end 6-3. HoeU wins out to end 8-1. I added WVU simply because they are currently tied with Texas at 3-2 in conference. I have them beating ISU at home, winning at KSU (tough) and losing to Texas and HoeU to finish with a 5-4 conference record. Again, Texas HAS TO win out; ending the season with a 7-2 conference record setting up a rematch with HoeU for the Big 12 championship!
