"Longhorns looking at David Ash and Case McCoy again this spring"

This headline from the Dallas Morning News..I didn't post the story because we have seen this story and it sucks.

The number two recruiting class wasted on these two. If I sound bitter, your right. They both suck and will suck again.

Oh and the Orange-White game..Forget that, it's on the LHN.

A double F@#K you to me..

We have a long ways to go until the Wyoming game on September 1 so they have a little time for it to play out. That being said, hopefully Mack announces a starting qb before game day. If not we are screwed.

It's hard to think about how good this team could be without being scared of the quarterback position. The thing is the QB does not have to be great, it just needs to not go out and lose games. Lean on the run, play action the ball down the field and don't screw the defense will bring 10 wins for the Longhorns in 2012.

Agreed. I think there is way too much emphasis on the qb position. Everyone - coaches and all need a paradigm shift. I am not saying that the qb position can be overlooked, but it doesn't need to play the largest role in the system - at least not next year. Rely on the stud backs and not so much what's under center. We have J. Gray now also so we have THE arsenal of backs that can punish, punish, punish.

If the QB position can throw for 1800 yards and throw more touchdowns than interceptions, Texas will win 9 games. The schedule is not that tough.

Look the QB is the most important player on a football field. I get that he does not have to be great but you guys are taking it to light.

9 games? 9 games would be a disappointment next year. We need to hit the 10 win plateau!

Well the quarterback better give the team 2 to 1 touchdown to interception ratio. anything other than the QB being able to play fairly well and 10 is just too tough with West Virginia, Oklahoma, TCU, Kansas State, etc...

I think 9 wins is an attainable goal. The schedule is light but the non-conference games have always been the thorn in our side. This 4 td's and 8 int's garbage that Ash put up last year will not fly next year. Plus McCoy will be a junior. Time to play with the big boys.

I hear you but does McCoy being a junior make you feel any better about him after the Baylor game last year?
