He is/was a highly under-rated OL. Everyone remembers Suh destroying him, but forget his versatility in 2007 allowed the OL to not completely crater after we experienced a lot of injuries. I think Hall played every position that season at some point.
Suh is doing the same thing to All Pro NFL centers so, there is now shame in that.

Im not thrilled with what Mack did, but thats the nature of the game. Ive moved on and Im waiting to see who this Coach is Ill cover at the spring game.

You should too. Let it go.

It was a great letter by Hall. It is interesting how sometimes people's greatest assets can also be their biggest detriment.

That is the essence of tragedy. What made a Greek tragic hero great will also be central to his downfall.

I think the majority of the fan base would agree that Mack is a good man and has created a family friendly environment at Texas that served him and the University very well for many years. However, you don't need to be an insider to see that Mack has fought to keep his job when it was NOT in the best interests of anyone except for him. He has been very well compensated for producing an inferior product, so I feel no remorse for Mack. I am grateful for the good he has done, but it is somehow impossible for me to forget 4 historic and utterly humiliating defeats to our archrival and holding on to a job that passed him by at least 3 years ago.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Chris for a lot of his life. Coming to Texas saved him from a dark path. When we were in high school I was friends with his older brother and those 2 were some of the biggest hell raisers we had. The divorce he talked about in the article was a very messy and public thing around town. His life changed when he went to Texas, the next summer he was the smiling soft spoken guy you see now. He's a great man and he's doing great work now. If it weren't for him I'd have never worn a longhorn championship ring for 30 seconds.
