My guess is Stumblin has to keep at least one coach on staff with a cheesy mustache so Mazone will follow.  That awesome DC he employed at aggy landed in Fayetteville to unleash his awesome Wake Forrest defense for Chad Morris and is not available.

I don't know. I don't think AZ will pay him what Aggy was paying him . . . and Aggy has to keep paying him until he takes another coaching job or the contract expires, whichever comes first.

Why not get paid (even tho its peanuts) to be an analyst, taking the aggy dime and the Horns paycheck, and perhaps later landing a better gig than AZ/Stumblin?

Don’t think it’s about the money for real. He gets the chance to work with Khalil Tate and that could be his meal ticket back to a big time gig.

No matter where he coaches, A&M is still staying him because his last contract since it didn’t expire after 2017. He’ll make good money regardless of where he ends up.
