Matt Coleman to Texas

Posted this in another thread, but might as well copy/paste here:

Matt Coleman verbally commits to Texas!! Said he bought the Longhorn hat on Thursday. Said watching the way Texas has played, knew they could use a true PG to bring it all together, knows he could have the ball in his hand from day one to distribute to the playmakers already on the team. Shaka said the keys were his, drive us to a championship

From Shaka's press conference:

"When you’re in the early stages of building a program, you want to bring in high-quality people."

"I'm excited about a lot of guys we have coming in. And to elevate our culture."

if Shaka can sign Mo Bamba the holes on roster will be gone unless current players leave besides SR`s and Allen who will be lottery pick most likely

I don't make Allen's decisions for him, but from what I've seen he is quite a ways from being ready for the NBA.
He is not ready but NBA drafts on potential and with his height and skill set he will grade about where Myles Turner did

I agree with SHA on Allen, he doesn't seem ready for the NBA. I'm not an NBA scout, but he seems unpolished for a big man and a little soft around the rim. It's hard to pass up getting drafted if he is told he would be a lottery pick, but he needs another year to develop, IMO.

Go developmental league? Or stay another year, improve your draft stock, learn the game better, and get closer to that degree?
