Today, Alabama received commitments from both, Tommy and James Brockermeyer. Tommy is a five-star prospect at the offensive tackle position, while his twin brother, James, is a four-star center. Tom Herman and the Longhorns were among the finalists for the twins, however Nick Saban, barring anything crazy, will have the last laugh.

The news isn’t shocking, however to say that it is disappointing for the Longhorns would be an understatement. The Longhorns, in desperate need of offensive linemen, struck out on the star-studded Texan twins. Furthermore, the twins’ father is former Longhorn great, Blake Brockermeyer, who was inducted into Texas’s Hall of Honor in 2015. In addition, the twins’ older brother, Luke, is a currently a linebacker for the Longhorns.

Now What?
Hayden Connor is currently the only offensive lineman in Texas’s 2021 recruiting class. The problem? There is a great chance that Texas will have to replace a majority of its starting offensive line in 2021. Quite simply, don’t be surprised when you hear that Texas is heavily focused on adding another lineman to the forty acres.

Despite today’s news, the 2021 Longhorns recruiting class has been shaping up well. Texas’s latest commitment happened just over two weeks ago from four-star cornerback, Jamier Johnson, from California. Johnson is Texas’s third commitment from a 2021 defensive back. Lastly, Texas will also have to pivot their attention to the wideout position. Currently, three-star wide receiver, Casey Cain, is the only true receiver in their 2021 class.

Sucks but not a surprise.    Assuming we have a season, CTH better get it together and win the conference.   We are at the zero excuses point.

I think that's the consensus. But I don't think the Brocks recruitment will have anything to do with it. Otherwise, Dabo should be let go at Clemson because he went from favorite to not considered by Tommy Brock. The same thing that happened at Clemson happened at Texas. Hence, the butthurt attitude toward CTH and the immediate change of heart when Clemson didn't offer the smaller Brock.

Unfortunately, 11-2 is not the standard at Texas either.

Shortly after Alabama beat Michigan in the Citrus Bowl in early January, Crimson Tide assistant coach Karl Scott sent a text message to the Brockemeyer family.

11-2 is a disappointing season here. This is not the standard.

It left an impression.

Will we ever get there again? Missing on the Brock's hurts. Looks like Herman and Hand put all their eggs in one basket.
