FYI, I'll be at Moncrief-Neuhaus late this morning. UT is making a few players available after morning practice. Similar to last week, I'll post updates after it's done.

Tomorrow, we'll do live updates from Coach Strong's final press conference from Fall camp. It'll be the last time he meets with the media before regular game week stuff next week for UNT.

I'm glad Harris is realizing that. He's got great size and decent talent. I hope he can put it together.

Some extra thoughts & observations:

  • Harris says he's down to 215'ish and played at 230 last year. He definitely has a powerful WR build right now. He'd be undersized if he lined up at TE.

  • M. Thompson talked about cross-training at CB and S. He said he prefers S because it's the "qb of the backfield and there's so much more to it".

  • Thompson went on to say that most everyone in the d-backfield was cross training because of all the no-huddle looks they'll see this Fall. "It's much easier/safer when everyone knows what to do at any position."

  • For 2 huge guys that play a violent position, Tank & Malcom are both very soft-spoken, humble, cerebral-type guys. They aren't what you'd expect from a stereotypical DT.

  • John Harris said there's "no doubt" that this team's primary offense will be a downhill running game. And went on to say that although that means less passes that it's really fun to block and be physical with DB's.
