I have been away for awhile, but I got a new computer and can now resume my Horn Sports workload, but what have the Longhorns been up to..

So Connor Brewer has left the University of Texas for the purpose of transferring. One has to wonder if Mack let another good one go?(See the last two Heisman winners!) All you have to do is look at who is after the kid.

Brewer has already heard from a few heavyweight programs, including Alabama, Notre Dame and Stanford, according to USA Today. Others interested include, Duke, Tennessee, UCLA, Arizona and Arizona State. Brewer, a four-star commit in 2012, is a native of Arizona.

If his transfer ends up becoming a star, that would make "Mack Don't Know Quarterbacks," official.

In the WTF news, headlines in the Dallas Morning News was, "Texas not among early favorites for eighth grader Dylan Moses." That's right the eighth grader has a hit list of schools he wants to attend? My head swims, but wait there's more. The 6-foot-2. 225-pounder is part of the Class of 2017 and also holds offers from Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Nebraska and UCLA.

and..the young man was quoted:

“I know Georgia hasn’t offered me, but I like Georgia because of their running back Herschel Walker.â€
Just wondering if anyone told him Herschel is not longer at Georgia, oh and that their bulldog died?

In preparation for its title defense, the defending national champion Longhorns volleyball team is not taking any time off this summer.

The Longhorns embarked on a trip to Europe that spanned two weeks and four countries this summer. The NCAA only allows the trip ever four years. It's a great place to find an audience, since volleyball is the number two sport in Europe.

The beginning of the trip was spent in Milan. After the team spent time sightseeing, it quickly got back to competition and spent its days in Milan competing against the Italian Senior National Team.

Despite going undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft, Myck_Kabongo has options.

Udonis Haslen of the Miami Heat and Gary Neal of the Indiana Pacers were big parts of their teams' runs to the NBA finals and both, have one thing in common with former Longhorn Myck Kabongo. They all went undrafted.

Many believed Kabongo would be a second round pick, but the five-star stud out of high school is the second Longhorn in a row to be passed over in the draft.

The Canadian-born player, who is a former McDonald’s All-American, will now attempt to earn himself a spot on a summer league team similar to former Longhorn J’Covan Brown. Brown went undrafted in 2012 before joining the Miami Heat in the summer league. However, an injury kept him from playing.

Kabongo could also find himself in the NBA’s development league or test the waters internationally if he isn’t able to land a spot on an NBA roster.

The final word comes from Nate Boyer, the Longhorn deep snapper, who has been deployed in Afghanastan.

I can't wait to get back to The University of Texas, to Austin, and of course the football team. I miss my teammates as much as anything because even though I am at least 10 years older than most of them, they are some of the best friends I have ever made, and it's been great to see some of these guys grow up so much over just a few short years. I'm as inspired by some of them as much as anything and it's incredible to see these boys become men. Fall camp is just around the corner, and for the first time since I've been at UT, I have this fire burning in my gut telling me that this is really going to be a special season. Even from 5,000 miles away I can somehow tell how hard the guys are working this summer, and I know that many of them feel the same way that I do. Yes, football is just a game, but it is undoubtedly now America's game, and it does nothing less than bring us all together even closer as a nation.

Nails dude, nails. Brewer could be good or he could be hype. He will get the chance to prove it on another team. Hard to blame Mack unless you think Brewer should have played last season. Ash is the undisputed started (Maxwell watch list) and Tyrone Swoopes looks to be in the mix for a second string spot. Sure Case MCCoy will play a li'l too but the point is we have a ton of dudes waiting in the wings. Mack recruits them all and there is no way they can all play. Overstreet is waiting also and we have Jerrod Heard coming in next season.

Kabongo should have stayed in school, end of story! As far as the Great Nate Boyer is concerned-----> Balls out bad mutha. Love the guy amnd I sleep better at night knowing the dude is in uniform - well, both uniforms. #HOOKEM #USA

Still need to find out how to post pictures on the main page?..I would have posted it both places..

We have the "Connor" effect happening at Texas. Don't draft kids with that first name!
