That University of Texas PG J'Covan Brown will leave school early and declare for the NBA Draft. In a statement from Brown, he stated, "It was always my dream to be a Longhorn, and I have lived that dream and become a better person."

It is expected that Brown will fall somewhere in the 2nd Round.

Best of luck J'Covan.

Hook'em!!!

Not a big surprise by any means but we will miss him. Not sure of his longevity in the NBA but we wish him the very best.

Guess Kabongo's decision didn't impact him much. Brown is too much of a streetballer to last long in the NBA. He is a good shooter but undersized.

Money Grab. Should have taken a page from his cousin's book. While B.J. Tyler played ony 3 seasons at Texas he finished his senior season (played his freshman year at DePaul). Best of luck J'Covan.

I knew this was coming and I don't feel good or bad about it. He has a daughter to support and I'm good with him trying to get after and do it. His stock may be as high as it it going to get with other scorers coming in next year. Either way he can come back and get his degree.

and sadly not make a team. He is just not ready but you gotta do what you gotta do and I really hope I am wrong.
