I was pulling for him last night to win the Emmy, but its hard to argue with Breaking Bad for anything.

I think that if HBO/True Detective would have put itself in the "Mini-Series" category, it would have cleaned up.

But I suspect the show and Matt wanted him to be the first actor to ever win Oscar lead actor and Emmy lead actor in same year.

I might be in the minority but I got tired of Breaking Bad after season 3. First 3 seasons were great though.

Also, the episode "Ozymandias" (Season 5, Episode 14 -- Sept. 15 2013)  got a perfect 10 out of 10 on IMDb.

And that is out of an amazing 53,311 ind voters. Rare air indeed.

Yep, it's odd because it's the type of TV show I'm normally invested in. For some reason I just lost interest around season 4. I thought that's how I would feel about Walking Dead and that show actually ended up growing on me.

I'm being presumptuous here, so forgive me. But I think it has a lot to do with the downward spiral that the main antagonists experienced in the fourth season. It's the season in which you begin to lose all hope of salvation for the characters. It was uncomfortable to sit through. But, I think that's what made the show so great.
