Let Me Share Something on My Policy About Mentioning TOS's

I could not help but notice the post about Orangebloods about how nasty it is over there right now.

My policy on mentioning other sites on this board is it needs to be complimentary or it does not need to be mentioned.

Yes, you heard me right. You can compliment Orangebloods, Inside Texas, Shaggy Bevo, Longhorn Digest,24/7 & Longhorn Nation all you want. We have the staff's from all these sites participating on our podcast and we have the up most respect for the jobs they do.

I think we can have something special here. Let's not not bring our past issues with other sites over here and sound like disgruntled or jilted lovers.

Hopefully with the respect of all of you, I'm going to have that post taken down?

That is fair, although I don't think the post was intented to bash the owmers of that site. It was the frustration with a few threads by the message board users (not the owners). But I agree everyome gets a fresh start over here and we shouldn't hold grudges. Also, game day is impossible to control anyway.

We want to respect our fellow fans, promote open and reasonable discussion, but also respect other sites and give people a Central Station to voice their opinions. You can bring discussion from other places as long as it is within the rules and you give them credit. But there is no reason to call out our fellow fans.

Like I said the other day:

The so-called sunshine pumper should feel comfortable posting here.

The so-called hater should feel comfortable posting here.

We will handle the pitchfork crowd (on both sides) when they present themselves.

We want this to be Central Staion By The Fans, For The Fans.

And that includes a place to promote, to a certain extent, Orangebloods, 247Sports, Inside Texas, Longhorn Digest, Barking Carnival, and all the other UT sites out there. They all do a good job and provide good talking points for this fan base.

I've had subs at InsideTexas, Orangebloods and 247. I have had issues with each of them (not IT so much).

Bringing it over here is unnecessary and unproductive.

I think it's a good policy.

I have always liked the policy over at 247 of not using the term TOS. Use the name of the site you are talking about.

Agree, the mess that has become TOS as far as poster vitriol goes needs to stay over there.
