So now Shaw and Briles suck. Dantonio is God, but Saban is still coming, unless he says no and we money whip Fisher so hard he says no and we settle for Strong or his less attractive clone Franklin. Forget the total resume. One game should decide who we love best.

Chill folks. Look at the body of work not just one game.

Besides, Shaw has said no, again. Dantonio just signed a new extension. And Briles is in the middle of a game. (I still think he is the one). There seems to be lots of compelling evidence that it will be Strong. That is if you are all in on Bohls.

Which could be like saying give me Lombardi or Walsh or Johnson but not Belichick or Pete Carroll before their big runs. Just because the man hired isn't "sexy" does not mean he wont be a hell of a hire.

Remember that Briles does have a Texas connection. His son Kendall signed with UT and played safety his freshman year before getting hurt. He then transferred to Houston where his dad was coaching to play WR. Art knows the 40 acres. He dealt with Mack during the recruiting of his son.

Strong would be a better hire.

It also doesn't mean he WILL be a hell of a hire. All I can do is go with my gut on this.

If Strong was the one it would already be announced. No reason to drag it out. He has palyed his bowl game.

And that is a big factor to be considered. Mark Dantonio's game plan as he set it would not have worked today. He didnt abandon the identity of his team, but quickly made adjustments to get his team into it and win it. We've not had that ability at Texas in several years.
