Tech buddy just texted me and said the firing wasn't football related and there's been some type of falling out on the staff. Even said we might see some more firings on the staff.

They have gone way too many years giving defense a low priority. Kingsbury will need to change that. Obviously he sees he has a problem.

Tech's defense suffers a lot from missed tackles and missed assignments just like our did before Mack fired Diaz. We will see if Mike Smith can make a difference.

My immediate sources say there is word that the firing may have been for cause, but they don't know anything. His buyout would be very high for Tech. Of course, we have seen from the Leach situation a while back that they don't always play straight with their coaches.
