No, he has been too busy winning a championship at the highest level last year. Do you really imagine that a guy who has a great football and personal reputation and won a super bowl last year cannot assemble a top coaching staff that can help him recruit with the UT profile and create a defense that can handle Big 12 offenses? Mack Brown had exactly zero championship wins, much less a recent super bowl win or any experience recruiting Texas when he got to UT. He was also a complete incompetent as a football coach and yet he managed to recruit well enough to win a MNC in spite of his deficiencies.Briles sounds great to me.
Harbaugh as I have outlined.... Hasn't coached in college in a long time, hasn't recruited in a long time, and hasn't had to defend offenses he will see in the Big 12. Its like comparing apples to oranges. People are enamored by the Super Ring but that doesn't mean he is a fit at this time.
And you really believe that John Harbaugh is not a high success potential candidate??? Got it.
