He moved it into a new thread because they were getting to the point where posters were asking to be banned, etc..

That is from probably the #4 sized Bama board, maybe 5th.

Rivals Scout TiderInsider are all likely much bigger

BOL is 247 and has big rep and probably bigger too

Put it this way, if it appears that Saban will sign with Texas, there will be emergency room personnel on call in Birmingham. Domestic violence, assault, gun play etc...

The fact that Auburn is now playing for the national title will just make it worse.

athenslawyer and I were discussing the implications of a Saban signing on the health of the State of Alabama.

I expect a full nuclear meltdown. Have a feeling they better be out of Alabama safely before this news becomes official.

My brother played for the Bear at Bama but he is also a huge Horn fan since everyone else in hs family went to Texas.

I have tried, and maybe kinda succeeded in convincing him it would be good for both programs for Saban to Texas to actually occur. Saban to Texas means Bama gets a young energetic new coach, almost assuredly Kirby Smart, with a full cupboard. Plus a new coach that will be successful for many years to come, at least ten.

Texas gets a coach that has been successful in building a program at every college position he's had. He can build Texas back up, restock the cupboard, then move into retirement in 3-5 years leaving Texas to find a new young Coach with a full cupboard.

Well that should be the plan at least.

Not sure if he's buying it total yet. He still can't grasp the damage done to Saban by the failed Rel Estate deals. He does get how Texas could help Saban reach finacial levels that the Bama guys may not have access to.
