Just got back to Houston after attending the game today. The 2.5 Hr drive did me some good to gather my thoughts after watching that shit show today.

1. we are 11-15 at DKR since 2010

2. 8th straight loss to a ranked opponent at home.

3. Very disappointing crowd noise after whole week of hype about TurnupDKR.. It was more like BequiteDKR

4. No way in hell we should be in this position with the QB. Just terrible recruiting & roster management.

5. Mike Gundy is a damn good coach. He owns Texas right now.

6. 4th straight season of having terrible QB play

7. Oklahoma State has MUCH better athletes than we do.(let that sink in)

8. Real possibility we finish with 3 straight losses

9. DT Brown played a good game.

10. The Mack Brown era is 100% done. I expect announcement any day.

11. Don't get too excited about a new coach turning this around quickly. We have tons of issues this may take a few years.(I know.. take a breath)

12. Did I say Mike Gundy can flat out coach.

13. After going to WVU last week and going to every home game out atmosphere is a joke compared to other big time schools.(We need to change this now)

14. We are a laughing stock right now and I feel like I am the only one who cares.

15. Saban is not coming to Texas

16. Do we have anyone who could start at Baylor?

17. My crazy prediction: Urban Meyer will be the next coach at Texas.

As far as the students sucking, every time the camera panned the crowd they were the only ones showing any spirit...of course they never show one side of the stadium sitting on their hands.

Probably about the same time we had to become a more diverse student body. Kids that have been UT fans their whole life are not being accepted...just a thought.

I was there during the Akers era and we were game day ready from early in the week...I think the students today are the result of the Playstation/XBox effect, if they don't like the result they either quit or start over.

Thats the average Texas fan for you. Show up, act like its a PGA event, and care more about etiquette than getting noisy. No passion.

I think we all care Mike, but this fan base is so beaten down, no one believes anything is going to change. History has shown us it wont.

Not crazy at all. I've been saying Urban Meyer for a long time. Too many things just seem to be aligning themselves perfectly for it....

Only problem is a few BMDs are holding the Aaron Hernandez situation against him (which is wrong imo).

No inside info btw.. In fact, most ppl I talk to tell me their ppl are saying Meyer isn't an option right now. All in on Saban.

I just don't see it working out that way in another 2 months.

I like Whisenant's list a lot better. I think the OP is deceived by appearance regarding our talent. It's greatly underperforming talent, but the talent is there nonetheless. That's what makes the coaching issue (and Mack in particular) such a problem needing fixing.

Having said that, recruiting did sag after the national title, which is part of what led to the post-Colt demise. But talent acquisition moved up nicely from 2010-12. That's why anything less than a top five-type finish this year was pretty much unacceptable. Obviously, we've fallen way short of that, as the BYU game already had shown.

We sucked in every aspect of the game. What more do people need to see to understand the team wasn't worth a $5.4 million coach and we aren't a good team. Its time for a change.

Exactly, the place was loud as hell after the 1st defensive stop...but once the play calling got boring, the miscues reared their ugly head again, and the team started playing uninspired football, the crowd went into shutdown mode as this scenario has been played out repeatedly over the last four years.

If the players/coaches act like they have something better to do on a beautiful day in Nov. then so do I.

I admit to leaving early due to a prior commitment (yeah, yeah some excuse). But as to the fan situation, I sat on the West side last year when my son came into town and got "great west-side-in-the-shade seats, Dad!" All the blue hairs (I'm not there yet) kept yelling for me to sit down. I finally turned to a bunch of them and said "We don't sit much on the East side. What's your problem over here???" As for the students, they sure seem to jump around a lot.

Its not the crowds fault you took a big squat on the field. If you want the crowd to come early, be loud and stay late, then give them a reason. Mack gave you many reasons yesterday to sit down, shut up, boo and leave early.
