AUSTIN -- The day after Texas coach Charlie Strong indefinitely suspended two football players charged with sexual assault, four more players have been dismissed from the team.

Strong dismissed Jalen Overstreet, Joe Bergeron, Josh Turner and Chevoski Collins for violating team rules, according to KVUE's partners at the Austin American-Statesman.

Overstreet is a running back from Tatum. He played in nine games last year as a red shirt freshman. Collins is a defensive back from Livingston and red shirted last year. Bergeron, a senior running back from North Mesquite, was expected to be a dependable backup for injury-prone Malcolm Brown and Johnathan Gray. Turner, a junior safety from Oklahoma City, played in 12 games last season.

These dismissals are not related to the sexual assault charges filed against Kendall Sanders and Montrel Meander, who were indefinitely suspended from the team on Thursday, officials say.
