So I 'm talking to my best friend tonight - he is a doctor in Fort Worth and we are discussing the new Big XII - SEC Partnership. He is a Notre Dame graduate and is sweating bullets about the new partnership because he is worried that the Irish will have to run the table to make it to a decent bowl game. We start talking running backs and he tells me that ND needs a running back like Malcolm Brown or Joe Bergeron. I tell him his quarterback is a criminal and then he tells me that Tommy Rees is a goner and they have a ton of folks lined up at QB in Southbend. The mother of them all is he tells me he doesn't want J. Gray because he is not a Jerome Bettis sized running back. I almost crapped my pants....
Then he explains to me that he went to Aledo High School to perform the physicals on the Aledo football players, including Jonathan Gray. Never mind that he grabbed J. Gray's nuts, but he tells me he asked Gray if Notre Dame called him during the recruiting phase and he said Gray said the Domers were calling an texting him a lot.
He equated J. Gray to Amos Zereoue, which is a complete diss. Not because Zeroue sucked but because Gray will be 20 times better.
I hope Notre Dame joins a conference so someone can whip their asses year in and year out. My friend is my best friend but J. Gray is an ass whipping nobody wants to mess with.
