So Higdon has said that Strong told the staff that they are not going the JUCO route.  Nahlin over at IT has said thats not true - they have definitely reached out to Evans.

My guess is that they've reached out to Evans but won't be all-in until they hire an OC.

Another case where Hig is limited by his source. Strong may have said that months ago, but shit hit the fan since then. That tends to influence things.

The Longhorn friend I talk to on a regular basis (with a son on the TV OL) said Texas has been talking to Evans. It was after he said this that I asked if Evans was interested. He would commit if given an offer, IMO.

I read on another board that the Texas staff likes Evans and he could have an offer.  Even if he does, the the staff would want to keep this quiet for now.
