There's a fairly big disparity in her rankings. ESPN has her as a 3 star and not even in the top 60 players. ProspectNation (which I consider the better recruiting site) has her as a 4 star and number 22 overall player in the country.

Texas now has two top 25 players in the country for the 2016 class per ProspectNation (Underwood and Sutton).

Now hopefully Texas can land one of the top two players in the country, Lauren Cox or Joyner Holmes. I think we land one of them.

I'll see what coach Roberts has to say about her. Not sure if coach Roberts coaches her but it's the same AAU club.......Roberts coached Foman and Atkins.

All I know is Aston is recruiting at an elite level right now.

In 2017-2018 this could be our lineup.

PG-McCarty (#12 player in the country) SR
G-Atkins (#2 player in the country) SR
G-Underswood (#22 player in the country) SO
F-Hosey (#14 player in the country) JR
PG-Higgs (#8 player in the country) JR
F-Aborowa (#38 player in the country) JR
PG-Sutton (#22 player in the country) SO
G-Richards (#6 player in the country) FR
Texas will likely land F/Center Joyner (#2 player in the country) SO

F-Akigbogum (wasn't nationally ranked but high 3 star) SR
G-Foman (wasn't nationally ranked but high 3 star) SR

--In other words, Texas could be going 9 or 10 deep with only players ranked in the top 40 in the country.

Honestly, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Aston win a National Championship in the next few years.  She's putting the pieces together and recruiting at an elite level.

Yep, they are going to be loaded in a couple years.

I'm interested to see what happens with Joyner Holmes and Lauren Cox. Holmes was already a Texas lean but now I would say she's a big Texas lean (Holmes and Underwood are very close so that commitment really helps us). I'm not sure where Cox is leaning at the moment, but I think Texas has as good a shot as any other team. If Texas closes on the #1 and #2 player in the country that will send a loud message to the rest of the country.

That's why I found Mulkey's comments after the Big 12 championship game to be interesting. IMO those comments came out of a place of fear. Mulkey had this state on lockdown in terms of recruiting and Aston has come in and completely flipped the script.
