If the players want to help Strong keep his job, then the players need to hold themselves more accountable on the field. That would solve a multitude of problems.

Well, based on what I was just told by someone who would know, it looks like Charlie will be gone by end of season. A small faction was ready to do it even after OU. Now, it's standing room only in this faction. In their collective opinion, there is too much at stake to continue on (brand, recruiting, etc).

It's a $15 mil buyout and no one is blinking. Plus, the new coach's salary. No one is blinking.

I was told that whatever new coach they get will know well how to compete with the Big 12 offenses. It sounded as if someone is already in mind. Or two.

For me, I call Hermann right now.

True but I really could not care either way. If Strong is back in 2016 so be it because if 2016 looks like 2015 he will be gone for sure. IF he is let go now I am good with that as well. There are good coaches out there that would love to come to Texas.

All signs point to Strong being back.

You're about the most miserable fan I've ever come across (and I grew up in Chivago rooting for the Bears/White Sox) - what's the point? Do you derive any joy from watching or reading about Texas football?

Even in the darkest days of Bears football (the last 25 years) I've had optimism and excitement for the team.
