It is not my place to start a topic about game week, but with Harvey literally hanging over our heads, how is the weekly prep going to be effected? What I heard this morning ( not that it is a help....weather stations were wrong the whole time ) is that Austin will be under heavy rains even into the weekend. I know you play the game rain or shine but what about the vital practice time? Somebody smarter and more connected than I am needs to help a guy out.

I guess what I am asking is.....now what?

Horns have an indoor facility (the bubble) for inclement weather. I have no doubt that Herman and company have contingency plans for all circumstances. I'm just ready for some football!

I don't think the game will be cancelled or anything like that. And it seems we never get as much precipitation as the forecast says. So I remain optimistic.

On the other hand, there will be a TON of high school football games that will not be played Friday, especially around the Houston to Victoria area where the torrential rain continues along with flooding.

Weslaco scheduled to play @ Richmond George Ranch on Saturday. Somehow I don't think that's gonna hold.

Ordinarily I'd say they could switch it and play in Weslaco. But I'm not sure they could even get out of where they are to travel.

The game was played in Weslaco last year...and we could host it because the RGV luckily didn't get hit. But you're right, not sure any travel in/out of the area is feasible right now.

I'm so ready for game week. Plus, I'm getting very tired of LHN showing the same games over and over. How many times can they show 2008 UT/OU and 2006 Rose Bowl. I love those games, but its time to get some new games.

I fear that by the time game time arrives in Austin, there will be a vast, somber mood throughout this state.

Hmmm, there's no rain in the forecast past today on weather.com, but the local weather does have rain into the weekend.
