Liberal, as it pertains to my comment, defines the self-proclaimed "progressives" who seem to think socialism and communism are a more attractive form of government than our constitutional republic.

But, I guess their "Man of the Year" award isn't necessarily a commendation.

Also, the NYT had a writer over there during Stalin's worst episodes (for example, his "Ukrainian Genocide") and that writer lied about it for years.  He and the Times won a Pulitzer for that work.  And, eventhough they now concede the facts (and lies), they still refuse to return the Pulitzer and the Pulitzer people have refused to rescind the prize.
