Meant to post this before Christmas and got busy. I ran into a couple of Belmont employees over drinks the other day and they were in deep discussion on getting resumes in order and out into job market. They said that they had been told that the staff was to be cut by 1/3. Not sure they new the timeframe, just that they could be one of the ones left out and were being proactive.

There is a new Sherriff in town and he is starting to put his stamp on things.

Good to hear. Bellmont doesn't need 400 staffers managing 500 varsity athletes.

hate to see people lose their jobs but Bellmont is too bloated. Way too many employees even for an AD UT's size

I wouldn't care about the size of the staff if I felt they were being effective. Way too may grade casualties and clearinghouse issues for a department with the resources we have.

Working for the UT athletic department looks good on the resume. They won't have any trouble finding good work.

This spot on. Never had understood how Brian Davis has kept his job for so long.

Will be easy to add a couple varsity sports when a ton of cash is not headed out the door and lining the pockets of DeLoss's cronies.
