Is Texas or OU closer to a Big 12 title?

Texas isn't any closer to finding its long-term answer at quarterback. And the Horns graduated its best running back, two best receivers, two best defensive linemen, best linebacker and best defensive back off last year's team.
Yet, all those problems with the offense don’t stand as an immovable obstacle between Strong’s team and Big 12 championship contention because the Longhorns' defense should be able to keep UT in every game next season.

One side of the debate raises the issue of how much Texas lost to graduation/draft. That doesn't bother me. In fact, it gives me hope. That said, I love all Longhorns. But the level of talent coming in is better than the level of talent leaving.

If Mack were HC I'd be a tad worried because of the development issues. With Charlie, that doesn't concern me a bit.

OU has a talent problem. Their class this year and the past couple haven't been that great. They have some good players but aren't nearly as talented across the board as what Stoops has become known for.

We beat OU up and down the field last year with Swoopes at the helm. If we improve in that one position, we win going away this year.

The Mixon kid is back this year. He should be a dandy for them.

I'd go with UT. Right now the Sooners have a Mike Stoops problem. Reading the OU board, their are fans who has said he doesn't get along with anyone. It sounded like Manny Diaz going into his last year at UT.

I'll go out on the limb and say ou has a STOOPS problem.  Mikey is a definite problem but Little Spurrier has reached serious Mack Brown territory.  The "Big Game" is out of Bob.  okies have had all the rice they are going to eat.

It's a damn shame but Texas is up against the likes of TCU and BU.  Who would have ever thought. My money is on the Horns!

from the outside, ou looks a lot like texas pre-charlie and post '09. that's not a great spot. meanwhile, against all expectations UT reeled in a top-10 class. i'll take the good guys in this debate.
