Is Coach Strong In Trouble??

Sirhornsalot- what is wrong with you? You seem to find fault when even when I pointed out positives from your site. I was truly impressed, all bull shit aside. I too believe in truth, justice and the American way, but you seem to have your nose 3' up your sources ass. I believe, and perhaps others, that you are coming off as a thin skinned whinny schmuck that feeds some of your followers. Geeez, I've never seen such mis-guided mind warp. I never said you were wrong, you say the truth is the truth (but you have NO CLUE what the truth is), I clearly pointed out fair treatment is to wait for clarity in the situation, and you clearly stated you don't care squat about about what others say. Wow, you are my hero.

One thing I'm good at is admitting when I'm wrong. I felt a real professionalism and a polished presenter when I viewed your site. I'm still impressed with it and the image/feeling it presents. But it appears I might be wrong about the person behind it. Perhaps you are having a bad day. Hope so, if not, holy moly Ethel, this boy could use some assistance.

I could ask the same of you. What are you saying anyway? That since you threw some compliments my way I should just turn my back while you blatantly lie? LOL

Before I began my own business, I made a living crafting the printed word. So I tend to pay attention to what is written. Sometimes, obviously, moreso than the writer himself.

So you execute the idea that you can pass off a few compliments, deny what you did (in print, no less), and then because I don't sing along with you – I'm a schmuck?

Call me whatever you want. I don't care. But you won't catch me trying to lie my way out of something or attempt to say running away from the truth is the preferred way of approaching a situation. Both of which you have now done.

We have no choice but to wait for whatever goes down. I don't know why you ask for something that NO ONE HAS A CHOICE IN ANYWAY.

My business has nothing to do with my interaction with you. You're not asking me landscape questions or having me produce an estimate for you. Being a business owner doesn't mean I become a limp-wristed apologist in a public football message board forum where I post my personal thoughts and ideas. So for the second consecutive post you wander off the reservation apparently in a sad attempt to try to leverage me. If you want to discuss landscaping, there is a landscape thread pinned at the top of this forum. I'll be glad to answer whatever questions you have there.

No, you can't manipulate someone's behavior by trying to leverage something against them. Works with criminals, but not so much elsewhere.

I'll be more than glad to be your friend, but if this is how you treat your friends, then I think I'll pass, honestly.

After typing the above note, I read your recent posts. I ask again, what is wrong with you dude? Your insecurities are pouring out. Get a grip. Did some Texas football player kick you ass back in the day? Something must have happened, u r too sensitive to not be carring sort of grudge. You've turned what was a rather pleasant conversation into some kind of fued.

You've spent two posts now telling me that you're an old coger, retired, yada yada yada.

And now you whip out "dude."

Shall I just turn my back while you decide what you're going to be next? LOL

Well, "gospel" might have been a bit rhetorical, but when a poster says "wow, if true", it means he is considering that it might actually be true.  That's pretty close to being "gospel" to that poster.  Whether he says he believes it or not is academic - the seeds of doubt have been planted.

Doubts, right now, are damaging to the reputation of Charlie Strong - even if its six people.

And convicting Strong from reading internet rumors are tantamount to calling the Pope a rapist because it was read on the net.

Don't you agree?.

Well, yea, insider info often actually is true. If anyone would like to examine the results of NSD and what I was told was happening, I think it would be highly insightful.

The guy who gave this info to me is the exact same guy who gave me that stuff. I have only had this guy as a source since November.

I'm okay with folks who don't buy the insider stuff. It's a free country. No one is obliged to agree with what is said. But you can't simply discount something because you don't like what you've heard.

"Gospel" is a pretty hard word. There's not much flexibility with it. It's a definitive.

Even my insider info is not a definitive. I can say Charlie had an affair and Texas knew, but there could be a million details surrounding that info that provide for a more understandable picture. We just don't have those details at our disposal yet.

I'm thinking some or most or all of yall need a good .....

To be frank, I don't care about the perception of Strong's reputation to other biased fanbases. It is just irrelevant. People who want to say bad things about Charlie did so last month and they will do so next month whether he had an affair or not. It just doesn't change anything. Go read Texags where they call him "Chollie" and say he is a fraud and a cheater. Their criticisms and judgements are literally the same now as they were before this news broke!

As far as the actual affair, I know nothing, but I do know athletes. From a personal standpoint, I was recruited to play college baseball and I have a few friends who are in the mlb (side note, played a little bit with Ricky Jaquez who was at UT for a second before he flamed out). Athletes are cocky, arrogant, pieces of shit, myself included. So did Charlie have an affair, I have no clue; but, he was a former athlete, in shape, powerful, and rich as hell. A lot of these guys have such a complex, and I don't know if Charlie is above it.  Usually affair rumors are true, just look at every athlete or coach who has been accused. If it is a lie, I don't think any damage has been done. If it is true, will we ever know? Can they just release his disposition or release information? I'm sure Charlie and his legal team will make sure none of it sees the light of day and he will completely ignore it until it goes away. So I appreciate the forum talk and the rumors, and I don't think they hurt the program- especially Charlie.

What ever you think. I don't believe I denied anything I previously said. Really, I lied? About what? What did I ask for that no one has a choice in? Man, trying to say I'm trying to leverage you? I truly don't care. I was simply trying to pass on my impressions, which were and are positive. No kidding, I was impressed. Enough said, believe or not. I don't have any concerns about friendship, I just can't come to grips with where you are coming from. My age doesn't give me any special insite, but my experiences may. You're reacting very defensively. If I wanted to be an asshole, I would use some of your statements to slap you around. Don't have any interest in that. Just don't think folks should blow up a deal that, as yet, has no substance. I'm sure your source is important to you, but no one is right all the time, and truthfully I don't much give a crap about him or her.

Insider info or not let's think about this a minute.

Divorces are a messy, messy business. The object is to shine the opposition in the absolute worst light possible. It's an attack on their character or moral being. In criminal cases you see the worst people on their best behavior. In civil cases you see the best people on their worst behavior. Normal, blue collar, folks get ugly but the high profile folks are down right nasty. They have to be because they stand to lose more than a trailer house. I don't know one thing about this case (just like the rest of you) but it seems to me that the "inside info" has some holes in it. Coach Strong is starting his third year at Texas. It's been said that the Texas people knew about the prior relationship before he was hired. If that's true and Charlie's relationship is the cause of the divorce then why is this all coming up now? Has the couple been trying to work things out and realize they can't? Did it take this guy two years to realize something had happened? Did coach strong admit to the UT folks he had the affair and then continued the affair until it was recently discovered by the husband? If Coach told the UT folks about it did he not tell his spouse? Did he tell both and he and his wife were working through it? If UT knew and his spouse knew why would the legal team from Kentucky need to subpoena all the phone records? I imagine if coach was coming clean he would come clean with everybody it's not like he broke a law. I also don't see the powers that be at UT (mostly lawyers) being ok with a Coach promoting these core values with this big skeleton in the closet. That has train wreck written all over it. It's not like coach strong had to make core values the foundation of the program. If they knew he had been unfaithful why not embrace the idea of "Redemption" "Second Chances" "learning through your own mistakes". My gosh it would be the ultimate underdog story. "First black head football coach at Texas almost lost everything in a moment of weakness only to persevere and become a better husband and man. Wants to help keep the young men in his program from falling into the snares of society". The whole situation is a ridiculous circus. Inside info or not it's ALL speculation. It sells online prescriptions and papers. If it's true it's nothing a ten win season won't cure. If it's false all of you in the lynch mob will catch some big time hell and your sources will have as much authenticity as Dionne Warwick. Everyone needs to chill and makeup some new shit to peddle as news.

Ok, you pushed, so here you go. First, you said this:

Cactus Jack, on 22 Feb 2016 - 8:00 PM, said:

I continually read on this board you great love of the Horns. Certainly not all of you listened to common sense and let this deal die. Oh hell no. Some appear to let their own agendas, desire to argue (with no facts), and feeding their own egos over rule any request to do what's in the teams best interest.

And then in your very next post, you said:

Cactus Jack, on 24 Feb 2016 - 9:45 PM, said:

I clearly pointed out fair treatment is to wait for clarity in the situation, and you clearly stated you don't care squat about about what others say. Wow, you are my hero.

"Let this deal die" does not equal "waiting for clarity."

And for the record, you lied in the last half of that sentence about me not caring about what others say. I said I don't care about your old age and I don't care what names you want to call me.

And while you're talking about the 5-sentence paragraph where you mentioned my website (apparently claiming to have been nice), you also mixed in a half dozen insults. So the mystery here is why you're perplexed as to why you're not being received well.

Ya know. It's simple. I shared info. Whether it's accurate or not remains to be seen. But this much is true, neither you or Mike have a stinking clue whats true or not and therefore whenever you claim one or the other, you're simply lying.

I've absolutely shared info for the last time. Some of you are friends and have been PM'ing me for stuff and I'll continue to share that way. But there are a few on this board who just completely lose their minds when stuff is shared that they don't like. It interrupts the flow of the board. It causes me to post things I'd rather not. It's just a shit show and I'm done with it.

Old man, no. A bit more experienced than you, absolutely. Know more about football than you? I suspect so. My 4 yr old nephew knows more than you. Let this deal die is until there is clarity. If you go back a bit, you will see your comment about not caring what others say. Received well, by whom? You?, give a crap. I never professed any knowledge, so how could I be lying? Lost our minds? To use your often repeated response (when you have no rational answer), LOL. What I think means absolutely nothing, but just for the record, I think you are a complete joke and borderline idiot. You wouldn't know a football if it hit you in the head. Analyze those statements Mr. Wordsmith. Momma' lap is a good place to recover. Adios. And by the way, if you would like to discuss this further, just post a phone number. I'd be happy to call or pay for your trip to Houston for lunch. That would be fun. Your friend, Cactus Jack.

Chip Brown:

I was told by a top source on Wednesday that Strong is not in trouble with higher-ups at UT at this point. Another source added that Tracy Blue was the aggressor in an attempt to have a friendship with Strong after attending one of his women's 101 football clinics at Louisville. But that Strong kept everything at arm's length and nothing more than a courteous friendship.

UT officials are following the matter, and I was told one Texas official contacted Korn Ferry International, the search firm used by Texas in the coaching search that led to Strong's hiring and asked if Strong was vetted about Tracy Blue or any possible infidelities. I was told Korn/Ferry responded yes and that Strong told them there was nothing to see.At this point, Strong still has the full support of Texas administrators.

I can edit the above posts if Hornsports has a problem with copy/pasting the exact content, but I didn't want to rephrase some of that stuff. Sometimes that changes the interpretation of the original source. I wanted to make sure that it was clear what Chip Brown was saying.

So, from everything I've seen so far, it sounds like this U of L regent, or whatever they call them was married to a sexually aggressive woman who he couldn't keep up with. Then she pursued multiple targets for her erotic fantasies, including Charlie Strong. CS felt like he couldn't alienate the wife of a powerful decision maker, so he was friendly towards her, without crossing a certain line. At some point, the husband caught her with someone and sued for divorce. He suspected that she may have also done the deed with CS, so he tries to out CS to put pressure on his wife to play ball in the divorce. I'm sure the whole BBC fantasy line goes over well with the Kentucky folks.

This goes along with what Doc Longhorn posted a few pages back. I know Chip has been wrong in the past on some things but he has also been right a bunch. I tend to think he is right on this.

This also aligns with what Doc Longhorn said a few post back about what his sources said about the vetting process.

I think this is a very likely scenario.

Nothing, absolutely nothing will come of this!  It is a fishing expedition in a dirty high profile divorce...  Mr. Blue will get what he wants from his estranged in all likelihood.

Anybody that says they know Strong had an affair....Is completely full of shit.  Texas has turned away past coaches due to infidelity.
