I spoke with one of my friends a few minutes ago. He's spoken with his contact at UT. 

Apparently, CS did have an affair with the person in question. Apparently, Texas knew about this when they made an offer to him to become HC at Texas. He said when Texas vets a candidate for a position, they leave no stone unturned.

He said there has been some moronic rumblings about firing CS over this. Can't happen when you knew about it and hired him anyway, even if the guy who did the hiring is no longer with us (Patterson). Texas hired him, not just Patterson.

So he says common thought is now that Charlie has this season to make something happen. If he shows up with another 5-7, he gone.

In response to the tweets, above. . . . the word "crush" is about as hyperbole as it gets. The man made a mistake. We all do. I think HS kids understand that.

I honestly don't give a rats ass if he screwed around or not. The problem is when you run around touting this Core value thing and then get caught up in this mess.

That's me! I redacted it though (even the someone quoted me so it can still be seen), just for you cactus jack! I don't get how sharing something on another forum and quoting the source is a product of "ego." When you post information on a public forum expect it to be quoted elsewhere, that is why you have to be careful what you express.

I appreciate your selective quoting. I said something more along the lines that in my experience, sirhornsalot has posted some good info, so I don't think it is merely information to cause controversy/incite. I also said only an idiot would take something from a forum and run with it as truth, but I found the information interesting. If we are along the lines of calling someone a child, your above statement exudes the equivalent of a child in a temper tantrum. Sorry I didn't listen to you and "let this deal die." Why is it "common sense" to sweep something under the rug? What are you hiding from?

Let me assure you, the world does not sit on the edge of its seat waiting with bated breath for some poster on HS who sometimes is privy to inside info.

If you want to say it's an agenda, I'll go along with that. But it's an agenda of being up front and honest about one's self and in particular, the University you continually read about me loving on this board. The University is only great when the people behind it are great. And friend, you can't be great when you're running from the truth or hoping like hell no one notices. When you grow up, you'll know that.
