Per the school: WR Lorenzo Joe suffered a strained hamstring during Monday's practice and is expected to miss extended time. There is no timetable for his return.

As we all know, hamstring injuries can linger and linger.... not ideal for Texas, who plans to use his size as a legit threat at inside WR.

Ironically, this could've been a golden opportunity for one DeAndre McNeal.

Hate hamstring injuries. One of those things that can carry on and bother a guy for awhile. Hope Lo Jo can get back to the field quickly.

Question?  Does Texas have physical therapists on staff or contracted to treat our athletes?  There is a group of physical therapists in Georgetown that are excellent in dealing with and achieving amazing results with sports injuries. I have personally witnessed North Star Manual Therapy achieve excellent results in several circumstances with an athlete.  Excellent with pulled, strained muscles, ankle, knee, hip, hamstring, etc.  Just thought I would ask and throw out this information.

From a poster on HD:

Shaggy Texas forum indicates that Inside Texas confirmed Shack hurt his ankle. No word on severity. Speculation that Vahe might move to center until Shack is back.
