HornSports can confirm reports that Sheroid Evans was injured on Saturday during Texas' first Spring practice in full pads. Evans sustained a knee injury but the severity is not known.

We were tipped on the injury yesterday, but kept quiet out of respect to Evans and our source.

Evans will have an MRI to assess the injury.

We'll report more as we hear it.

Evans is slated to be a huge piece in the success of the secondary this season.  Really tough news for Texas if the injury is severe.

Damn, the guy has been snake bit since he got to campus with injuries. Feel bad for him.

We could certainly do without the injury bug that has been present the last few years.

Prayers up for Evans, but I wasn't expecting much out of Evans. Kid can't avoid injuries.

I'll never forget VY severley twisting his ankle against KState. It was sooooo bad I thought it had to be broken - his right foot almost turned backwards; and the TV crew showed it over and over. But, somehow, he finished the game and the season with no problem.

Found the video! Check at the 1:02 mark. (Not for the queazy.)

Why, 40 acres, the way Vince ran, you just knew that he didn't have a bone in his body.  He was so smooth.
