I'm not really impressed by Strong.
I don't like the Offensive numbers they've put up the last two years with Bridgewater at QB, with such a top QB they should have been able to move the ball a lot more than that against the level of competition they've faced.
Also I don't think he's that great a recruiter, so that's an issue I have with the current SEC / A&M Landscape that the new coach is inheriting.
I don't think he's terrible, but I definitely think it's bleh - and I'd much rather go with a Malzahn and take a chance on him because of this Offensive X's and O's accumen that he brings / or the risky hire of Gruden that would be a giant splash and get us a ton of positive momentum that I don't think a Strong hire would do.
All that being said - whom are the staff members he thinks he could bring? Yes that could be an uptick for him, but all I've seen is rumors of a great staff, I haven't seen any big names.
