I'll Say It..Glad We Didn't Play ATM

Texas A & M completely dismantled Oklahoma last night in the Jerry World Cotton Bowl. I am glad they played OU instead of Texas. Before you go off, let me explain.

Texas had a tough year and needed something positive to feel good about themselves and not give the base and recruits a lasting image of another bad loss. They got that in a stirring win over Oregon State. Watching Johnny Manziel shred the OU defense, quite frankly I don't see a chance in hell he wouldn't have done the same thing against Texas and that would have been a disaster.

I want to get this out there. ATM for the time being is a more attractive destination than UT. I underestimated the SEC effect and on top of that we have a young dynamic coach and maybe the best player I have seen in a long time. We need time to get our mojo back and field a better product. I just don't think the risk(see above) was worth the reward because the odds were stacked against the reward.

It's time to get better and I believe we will. No way in hell the Aggies can get better next year. They will lose some of that team and get younger. Can anyone top a year like Manziel had? I know Big Mike has them in the National Championship Game and I am going to call in to the Orange Report and have that discussion with him, but suffice to say LSU and Bama are going to have something to say about that. Plus if they make it through those two, they will have Florida waiting.

Texas meanwhile has a more favorable schedule this season. OU, WVU and KSU all lose senior QB's and UT gets a year older. I see a real chance to win the conference and play ATM in a BCS Bowl. We will be a lot more prepared to win that game. I just don't think we would have won last night.

It is, afterall, about this:

No way aggy goes to the NC game next season. They lose a handful of their best players, especially linemen to the NFL. They return Manziel which keeps them fluid but he won't win another Heisman next season.

Watching him last next I was impressed with his jerky cuts while scrambling. He jukes the hell out of OU every time he had open field. Kid is goo, for sure.

UT can only go up and aggy can only get worse. Cannot wait until next season.

I was really impressed with JM. I thought Gus Johnson made a great point. "The defenders think they are a step form tackling Manziel when in fact they are a step from being passed."

Saying all that it will be interesting to see how he is defended this season. They clearly got better after the Bama game. This is what confidence does for you and the reason for my being glad we didn't play them.

You need to call in and Razz Big Mike....

But we didn't play them so we couldn't lose and we'll never know what would have happened... Ahahaha... Hook em!

I have a pretty good idea what would have happened..

I did not say I have them in the NC game. I said their schedule sets up very nice for them to make a run at it. They have 8 home games. Toughest one is Bama and LSU on the road that's it. They also only play 8 conference games and 4 out of conference cupcakes. I see 11-1 at worse and as we know SEC love is enough to get a one 1 loss team in the big game.

Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it. This to you Dude.
