If Strong believed in Watson he should have named him OC immediately. By not making a decision until this weekend it appears (whether true or not) that Strong was trying to lure bigger/better OC's and that Watson was a fall back position.

Strong is unintentionally letting the media control the dynamics of the process instead of himself.

I don't know how he can save face now and name Watson after chasing (or appearing to) after other OC's.

Perception may not be everything but it will now look as though he is choosing an OC that Strong had to settle on. Recruiters from other schools will be like sharks on the offensive side.

If we choose Watson as OC then this staff could have been named a couple of days ago and all the speculation would have ended.

I won't believe it's Watson until UT issues a press release. It's always felt like strong is going in another direction

Its watson..get use to it..if it fails its on Strong..hes on the clock lets see what happens in recruiting and on the field ..

Or maybe UT is just waiting for an OC at UL to be named to avoid Watsons buyout.....Kill me now if true.

Negative recruiting would be so easy.
I sure its going on as we speak. And to some it might not be negative recruiting, other coaches could be point to facts. Publicly it doesnt look good.
