If D. Knox...

The only reason to not take him is because he projects as a OG and we really need to get a good OT in this class. Last year was a great year to get OL and we picked some kids with great futures ahead of them. I can't see UT taking more than two OL this year but if Knox is the best option for the second spot we can worry about OT's in the 2015 class.

Not sure but there were reports that he was rethinking how far from home he would be. Also if we get Wickline he has been recruiting him all along so who knows maybe, maybe not.

If I remember correctly, the kid seemed like a prima donna headcase. Doubt that's changed. Doesn't seem like he'd fit with what Strong is gonna want to do.

If Strong says yes then I'm for it but will need to SEE him buy in completely. I really feel like he used us to get his friend an offer then kept looking. Seems too entitled but as before I'll rely on Strong's opinion.

I'd worry about him being a locker room cancer. Whether he "comes clean" or not, the poor attitude is always there. If Strong doesn't think its an issue, sure thing.
Cancer in the locker room is a pro phenomena when you have prima donnas you can't muzzle. In college nobody gets away with, and certainly not on Strong's team. If he's a cancer he won't play and his prospects will be flushed down the toilet. There's no option of taking your talents to another team when you disagree with the coaches.

You have to take he has to much talent to pass up and were thin at the OT position.

Said he was interested in flipping his commit back to Texas how would y'all take it. I for one hated how he handled us and treated us. Not quite sure my feelings on it yet.
Is this NOT a country of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chances..? I would, only after he's met face to face with Boss Strong. Once the expectations are set and met to, bring the young man on.

You bring in as much elite OL and DL as you can. If it turns out that the player doesn't want to put in the work, you cut them loose.

Don't think of it as a second chance. These guy should make the decsion based on the university first, then everything else, unfortunately it does not always happen that way. It's possible that Knox didn't feel comfortable with coming to the Mack Brown lead Horns, he may have felt that w Mack the program was on the decline, you know the same way most of us felt...well now Coach Strong is here, and Knox might be thinking, damn, I liked Texas (The University), but Texas (the football program) was in flux, on the down side, but now they have a Coach I can believe in. If it were up to me..hell yeah, I would bring him in.

I know you all like to talk about the players personalities...they're football players...appreciate what they do on the field, hope they don't do anything to bring a negative light to the school or program, hope they take care of business in the classroom, beyond that..it's out of your hands...prima donna or not as long as he does what the coaches say, and he doesn't hurt the team/university I could care less how is perceived.

I'd take him for sure. Strong isn't going to run a soft country club like Mack Brown did. If he or any other kid doesn't toe the line then I don't think that Strong will give them much rope. Kid has talent and we need linemen. Sign him up.
