Strong is right behind Briles on the 2nd tier IMO.
Tier 1: Harbaugh, Saban, Meyer, Fisher, Malzahn.

Tier 2: Briles, Strong, Mora, Franklin

Tier 3: who cares

Of your tier one group - IMO, Fisher would be the most likely to consider Texas, even if he wins the natty. The ACC sucks and it is hard to recruit to.

2nd tier - Texas can do better than Mora or Franklin. Briles would kill it here and I don't know enough about Strong to form a good opinion. I like Briles because the campaign to build Texas HS relationships has already been done by him. And do we need to discuss his offensive system? Texas will provide him with copious amounts of coin to get the best DC money can buy.

Are you conversant about Charlie Brown? I ask this because I really don't know enough about him to form a decent opinion. How are his recruiting abilities? Does he have skills in evaluations of recruits? Does he have developmental skills? How about coaches - can he evaluate them as well. Most importantly, does he understand process and the responsibilities‎ of being a HC/CEO at Texas?

Strong is still getting some run in some circles as a purported fav of Patterson.

And Briles' name has been coming up as prominent too.

I have no idea if its real or a smokescreen. Just passing it along.

good list except gruden sucks and malzahn has had very little head coaching experience. Im glad you mentioned anderson though hes a great coach that probably wont even be considered
