In the EXPECTATIONS FOR NEXT SEASON thread I mentioned that I will reserve judgement until I see what he puts on the field next season.
This isn't a good start.

Under Mack, I always felt like we were handcuffing ourselves. If the new guy starts off doing the same, he's gonna find out just how impatient Texas fans are at this point in time.

To be fair, no announcement nor presser have been give giver nor conducted. Shouldn't your judgement still be reserved?

If Strong brings Watson knowing what he did to Colt, he has lost my trust........

Watson should not be allowed on the 40 until he apologizes to Colt and the entire Longhorn family for his behavior.......No way should we allow someone like that to be in a responsible position at Texas....

I have zero issue with any of the U of L guys except Watson.

Strong needs to make a good choice at OC. I feel very strongly about it. In fact, I think his tenure will be defined by it.

He is in the Big 12 now and you gotta put points up. You won't win very many games scoring 21-24 points. The offenses are just too good.

Charlie is a very intelligent coach and he has to understand that. Comfort be damned you gotta get a guy that can move the ball and appeals to recruits.

Guys Colt is not some mythical creature, I doubt he gives a darn about something some assistant coach did..the grudges that fan bases hold are laughable. Do you guys remember when you all played ball how physical and in the moment you were? You can't even explain the mind set you have to be in to play football. The coaches to a certain extent have the same mind set..

Strong, Saban,Muschamp, and Miles (Carrol when at USC) are all defensive gurus right? So they would know what are the most difficult offenses to defend, correct? All prefer pro style offenses.... Am I missing something? Yet we all really want a spread....

Watson has grown since he left Nebraska. Is he perfect? No, but dont jump off the wagon already, especially if Coach Strong keeps Wyatt and Porter. Even if he doesnt, I trust the man to run his team and win ballgames.

Most defensive coaches prefer a pro style O not because it's more difficult for to prepare for, they tend to prefer it because it is more ball controlled, there is less turnovers, which helps the D. Some defensive coaches like Mora and Todd Graham have utilized the spread..Gene did when he won w Cam as well.

I think a mod should be above starting a thread like this, you are just asking for vitriol to be spewed by people that are being ruled by emotion rather than reason. Then another mod chimes in w/ more insults towards the staff...not really what I would expect from a Mod.

If Watson is on staff, I am very underwhelmed and down on the hire. If Chambers is on the staff, I know Strong has no clue how to hire on the offensive side of the ball.

I believe Chambers will be on staff in a non-coaching role. This would be great, in my opinion.
