I belong to all thee sites. OB was first just because of exposure (listening to Ketch, and Chip on local radio) but I quickly grew tired of the negative aspects and especially the attitude of Ketch. I only keep my sub to skim for info and rarely post there. Even the info seems to be lacking lately. For me, the analysis of Alex Dunlap and the posts from nuufaola are about the only things I enjoy.

I joined IT after hearing about Jesus on OB and enjoy that site much more in terms of content and information. Some of the old guard there make me reluctant to post much, but I have met some of them at an IT tailgate. They were a great bunch of guys in person...

I followed McPhaul here from OB and have really enjoyed seeing this site grow. I really appreciate what seems to be a genuine desire to share opinions about the inner workings of the UT athletic department and the effect of current events and information. I realize the general public is presented with multiple versions of the "facts" and have seen/read enough to believe most of what is presented here in the context it is presented. The general attitude of McPhaul—being civil an respectful regardless of the topic (even so far as to ask a poster not to refer to Mack as a piece of crap), and others on this site have made it my favorite in many respects.

I think this has been a trying time for lots of people with a lot invested in the outcome, so it's probably not surprising to see it bring out the worst in some. Thankfully, it has shown me the good in a lot of people too.

I don't think twice if my husband's eyes trickle towards an attractive woman, I have no problem with pornography in moderation, and I'll even send him sexy tumblr gifs every now and then to make the day go by faster; that's a far cry, however, from how I'd feel if he spent his days filling football message boards with posts of naked women.

I find women, like yourself - with a healthy self esteem, infinitely more attractive than the insecure ones. My daughter is a lot like that.

While I am at it, I find I must apologize to the posters I took to task about hijacking a thread with OT discussions. It looks like I am busted.

they make fun of this board, because just a week ago we highlighted it was NS and merry christmas to all on st. nick...now we are saying everything is saban, but their is a 1b option...then the fact that we still not sure if its a done deal...we make fun of OB for all the jumping around on this, yet we've become the same...

I don't think McPhaul has jumped around at all. McPhaul is not a Mother Love, he is a conduit of information. In a thread today, he listed what each of his sources says with regard to candidates. That's a pretty revealing look at the behind the scenes McPhaul just laid down for us there.

Nothing McPhaul said in the St Nick thread has changed. Nick as in Nick Saban as in the same guy McPhaul still believes ends up with the job. But McPhaul understands that it's not up to him and something could change. It certainly did last time. Heck, even I'm a little nervous (snake bit) because of what happened last time.

The fact that there is a 1b option only indicates Patterson is conducting this, not a team of BMDs as before. Patterson was told to get us a coach and someone like him wisely does not make a list of one.

So who knows why they ridicule McPhaul for once saying Saban and still saying Saban. Maybe in their world, that is inconsistent. Heck, the McPhaul call out thread came shortly after the head honcho there proclaimed there would be no call out threads, then allowed one to carry on for hours on end.

I think I'm in the right place here. I think the most exciting and informative site you and I are going to read today is going to be THIS ONE. So if I get bashed for being here, so be it.

Well I got a timeout from Ketch last night for asking a legitimate question about why personal attacks are allowed on OB but whenever a question about this is asked of the moderators it is deleted immediately. Geoff replied that he was the only one moderating and he was busy watching the Cowboys game. I had never been banned or even given a warning before. I didn't blast or curse and I was respectful in my post yet I got banned for a week without any explanation of which posting guideline I violated. I'm calling to cancel my sub today.

There are several posters on the OB that get a free pass to say anything and act as childish as they want. One poster in particular that anyone here who is also on the OB would be aware of is the site clown and used his two year old potty humor non-stop and never seems to catch the ire of the staff. Don't get me wrong, there are still plenty of things I like about the OB, but the negative post and personal attacks are getting old.

As DizzG mentioned there are many going out of their way to discredit anything being posted on this site, especially by Darrel. They even go as far to call him McPhraud. How many of these same posters were eating up the information when he was still posting on the OB?

I find it funny that all they can do is come up with varying forms of McPhail, McPhraud, etc. Oh, how clever. What is silly about is that even the mods over there are saying that Saban was a lot closer than people think, but people have to beat their drum I suppose.

Why so many people trash this board on other sites lately yet clearly read what's posted? The dislike for Mcphaul by some seems pretty strong which makes no sense considering people called for his info often when he was still elsewhere.
So far this board has picked up some of the best posters out there who are sick of places with constant personal attacks and general lack of intelligence. Maybe people see the potential in this place as a threat...I dunno but what in the world here sucks so bad to see it bashed every time it's mentioned elsewhere?Strange

Yeah I did read that post yesterday and couldn't believe all the negative that was being said about McPhaul. Which means a lot of it had to be coming from people that were on this site and pretending to be part of this community.

Whatever. I don't take anything I read on a fan website as gospel and if you do then that's your problem.

I do feel it is bad form to have posts such as the "Merry Christmas - It's Saban" from last week. If things are still so fluid then overly zealous posts like that I think send the wrong message.

At the end of the day though you have to remind yourself that this is just information being posted from a variety of sources. We will know in a week or so which site/moderators had the best sources. But I do not believe that any are posting anything more that just what they are hearing. And as a fan with no "sources" I am appreciative that I can come to a site such as this, peruse the various information, and then use my own critical thinking skills from there.

But bitching about McPhaul is just asinine. The guy is hanging his ass out there and to my knowledge hasn't made a dime doing it. Like I said time will tell who had the best sources. In the meantime just settle down and enjoy the ride.

Here is what's confusing to me. Why would anyone believe anything someone posted over there? Through his own admission, Ketch has said he uses many alias just to stir the pot and create discussions. What poster could you, then, possibly believe is not Ketch?

Even more incredible is that people will spend $10 a month just to be scammed. Because that is what I think it is - at the very least it is fraudulent and manipulative.

FWIW the people bashing mcphaul are Mack Brown Bellmont cronies and out of roughly 20,000 members on OB they account for at least half. Let that sink in.
