Rumor has it that RB Malcolm Brown is considering transferring. Not good news. I guess we will see how it plays out

Let him transfer. Transfers, if he does, like this are good. It would mean he can't compete against the competition. Hope he can stay on the field in his next gig.

agree completely, we should promote players who can not compete at the level we desire to find somewhere they can go to find playing time.

means he has been healthy past few weeks but Gray and Bergeron and to an extent Hills have gotten more playing time.

We need a pure FB to blow shit up.

Gresham.

Plus, I know Gray is the shiznit but why has Malcolm Brown been sitting for 7 games? His injury was not that significant. He could have carried a heavy load the last 2 games.

If the model is out with the old and in with the new, why the hell is Mack Brown still there?

I think letting Malcolm Brown slip away is a gamble this team should avoid at all costs.

i hope gresham is a pure FB, that gets a couple of carries, not just a big RB like Bergeron. I want a small DT or OG that can move short distances but blow shit up.

though i do like Gresham a lot as a big back, not sure he is a pure FB like #44 Copeland at Lsu for example.

Bigger fish to fry and Brown. I don't want him to transfer and the coaches, like they did with Mike Davis, will convince him to stay. but again it takes a lot of balls to talk of a transfer when you have missed more games in in two years than you have played. If he transfers he only has one more year of eligibility.

Not sure if him being injury prone has anything to do with this but he has missed a crapload of games due to injury. Problem is we lose Hills, if Brown leaves then we have J. Gray and Bergeron and incoming RB Kyle Hicks who tore his ACL a few weeks ago. Hearing doubts about Hicks now because of him being so injury prone. They aren't going to pull his scholly offer because that's not what Mack does, but we could very well be thin at RB. In 2014 we have Duke Catalon coming in but that is 2 years away.

Remember last season when we lost Brown and Bergeron to injury.... it was not fun.

I don't like that he wants to transfer. I like the way he runs with the ball, it's a unique, shifty, but still physical style. But if his heart isn't here then he shouldn't be here. Also has he really been injured all this time? Why isn't he seeing the field more?

The Monday before the Iowa State game in his presser Mack said MB would be ready to go at full strength. He said he could have played in the Tech game. I wonder if the transfer rumor has become an issue in the locker room?

It's weird he wouldn't play if he's healthy because he's a great running back and produces when he's on the field. This off-season is going to be one hell of a roller coaster...

How is that? This is his sophomore season. Transfers and sits a year. He would still have two years of elgibility, wouldn't he?

Yeah, he would have 2 more years to play elsewhere if he transferred. Also not sure of the injury status and if the team could get a med. redshirt or not. If he is still injured and has not played in more than 30% of the team's games then he could potentially qualify since he hasn't played ANY at the halfway point of the season or beyond. Seems like the trainers would have made that call by now.

Transfer rumor..from where? I would love someone to show me one outlet that has the rumor. I looked and can find nothing. I think it is a rumor and unfounded.

Ya where'd this come from anyways? I havent heard of this any where else.

I don't think Malcolm is going anywhere. I'd sure like to know why the hell he hasn't been playing though.

Supposedly Mack said they are going to try and work him in more in the Kansas State game. WTH does he mean work him in??? He was our starting running back this season. HE NEEDS TO PLAY.
