HS staff: What say you on the MJ & DM decision?

These kids are starting to see through the BS of Sumlin. He is a damn fine salesman, but when you BS has BS all over it, then things fall apart.

Well since I just finished my first finals of law school, I didn't pay much attention to the announcement but these two commitments may be the catalyst the Longhorns needed in state. It's not going to be easy, Baylor is still going to be a thorn as well as the Aggies, Buckeyes, and the Crimson Tide.

However, CS isn't relying fully on Texas so he will get the talent he needs. But it's a statement to the rest of the HS in Texas.

Another note, rarely do 5 star defensive recruits bust on the college level.

This reminds me of when Mack got Redding to commit and after that, others followed. It started a momentum that went on for years. Of course, Mack is a great recruiter so he had something to do with that.

This is outstanding as long as it holds up after Aggy announces their DC. 18 year old minds tend to change at the drop of a hat. Never count chickens before they hatch, even if Daddy says the decision is final. The hi$tory of recruiting $how$ it$ been $aid many time$ before a la$t $econd flip; and there i$ alway$ that $EC influence that can even turn Daddy$' head$. We can be appy now. Will get "excited" after signatures are on the papers.

Malik Jefferson and McNeal aren't going anywhere. Their parents have been adamant that once they commit they are done.

Malik Jefferson's father on A&M trying for flip when they get DC: "A commitment from a Jefferson is final. It's over."

The papers Malik has signed are not binding. He could change tomorrow. The papers that ARE binding will be signed when he returns from his all star game in early Jan. where Malik will be actively recruiting for Texas.

Nevertheless, the decision is made and will not be revisited.

This is according to what Jefferson's father explained in an interview I read.

I was wrong about my prediction on both of them.  Their choice of UT is a GAME CHANGER folks - no two ways about it.  As I have previously posted, this will turn heads of other recruits on the bubble and maybe get 1-2 others committed elsewhere to seriously look to change to UT.

Hook 'Em!!

You should delete that dollar mark shit.

This year, if any one player could have the Pied Piper effect...inspiring other recruits to follow and come

to Texas...we got him Friday in Mr. Malik Jefferson.  Undeniable positive recruiting momentum was

achieved with his commitment.  The Pied Piper leads and others will follow. It's all good!
