HS Members Prediction Thread: TCU

That’s all cool, he was a great HS QB, maybe he will shape into a good college one. But right now Sam has a better stat line then he does so I’ll continue to say he is there Achilles heel. And I hope he shows that Saturday. They have a ton of weapons and Texas needs to be ready.
I still disagree with your characterization that's he's a bad QB.

TCU

Before a slew of second-half mistakes ruined TCU's chances of knocking off Ohio State, it had played the Big Ten favorites pretty evenly. The Horned Frogs frustrated the Buckeyes with their tempo and the mobility of first-year starting quarterback Shawn Robinson. Ultimately, the lesson here is that you have to protect the ball against Ohio State. Within a 4:01 span in the third quarter, Ohio State went on a 20–0 run thanks to a pick-six and a blocked punt that set up another score. To his credit, Robinson got things back on track with a 51-yard touchdown pass to TreVontae Hights late in the third quarter to keep his team in the game.

Gary Patterson’s team is going to be a tough one to face in conference play. Its offense is especially fast: Jalen Reagor and the other receivers continually beat Ohio State on the perimeter, and running back Darius Anderson ripped off a 93-yard touchdown, which was the longest run in TCU history and longest play Ohio State has ever given up.

The Horned Frogs next face a Texas team looking for some momentum after a revenge victory over USC. That game will reveal what kind of Big 12 threat both of these teams will be moving forward.

@primal defense that’s okay, that is what makes message boards fun. Hope I’m right and he plays like crap Saturday. Texas may make him look like a heisman, see which defense shows up

I was sure that there was a good team in there somewhere, the question now is can they show out with the same effort two weeks in a row against a pretty good team ? Against all logic -  Texas 27, Toads 24

I dont know what will happen, but now is the time to knock TCU down and get them off their backs.  This is one game this year that I wanted them to win.

153-33 is the combined score of the last 4 meetings..

TCU 27-13
What is the combined score prior to that four years?

How do you base a 2018 result by looking at 2014 results? I mean, how many players from 2014 are still around?

I guess I'm having trouble understanding the relevance of four years of scores to what happens in the game in 2018.

I mean, after 65-13 loss to OU, why did we even bother showing up the following year?

Your positivity is awe-inspiring but that doesn't make you smart/accurate. We get our asses handed to us by the frogs on Saturday because Gary and Cumbie actually know how to coach and run an offense that isn't slower than molasses.

I thank you my friend. lol I try.

I heard the same thing about Bob Stoops.

TH is a fairly smart guy. I hope last year taught him that this is the one team that prepares for him like no other.

I am only hopeful. As Mike pointed out, there's really no justification for the hope. But I had to give him a hard time anyway. lol

It's better to be optimistic, but this TCU team is better than people realize. I can't believe vegas has this at only Texas +3.

That depends. Is this the TCU that played SMU? Or is this the TCU that showed up against OSU?

There is youth at QB. He starts only his fourth game. Very talented, no doubt. But you're going to see consistency issues until he gains experience.
