4 tonight in CenTex:

Bastrop at Crockett - Burger

LBJ at Lanier - Nelson

Del Valle at Westlake

Lehman at Austin - House

Man it seems like the same teams are always at the top in class 2A.
First year for Refugio in class AA.

Mart - it's in the friggin water.

Keep an eye on those Mason Punchers at #5. Old school football at its best.

And who could possibly root against Shiner? All they do down there is make great beer. Who can be against that? lol

Camas (8-0, 5-0 4A GSHL) @ Heritage (2-6, 0-5 4A GSHL) Friday 5 PM PST

The Papermakers defeated Mountain View 52-21 Friday, at Doc Harris Stadium, to clinch home-field advantage in the playoffs. Their first away game in the playoffs would be at the Tacoma Dome for the State Semi-Finals if they continue winning.

A win against Heritage this Friday would give Camas its third straight 4A Greater St. Helens League championship. Camas also won 3A GSHL titles in 2011 and 2010.

Heritage won last week in a non-league game vs. 3A Kelso, 14-9.  Their only scores were on a KO return and an INT return.  They do have a RB, Kalani Umiamaka, that has 858 yds rushing, including 3 100+ yd games this season.  He's averaging 5.5 yds per carry, and has 8 TDs.  Heritage does not throw much, as their QBs have right at 800 yds passing total for the season.

I would imagine that Camas will beat Heritage pretty badly Friday.  Heritage plays right into Camas' defensive strength.  There will be a lot of young players seeing the field in the second half.

Joeywa's prediction: Camas 70 Heritage 7.

i'll take Heritage +63.

Senior Night at Boerne High. STP Jr and his boys playing their last home game so it's kind of bittersweet. Hopefully we can put a beatdown on Bandera and go out on a high note.

I'd say that qualifies as "pretty badly", alright!  :P
In their five 4A GSHL league games, Heritage has been shut out twice, and has given up an average of 43.2 pts while scoring an average of 13.4 pts.

Camas, against the same opponents, has scored an average of 54.2 pts and given up an average of 18.6 pts.  Heritage is not good.

Was thinking of maybe taking in the Allen vs Plano West game. I've been wanting to see the Soso Jamabo kid play but he is a game time decision (ankle). I'm not sure seeing him at 75% or so is going to give me an accurate picture of him.
