I trust CS to do the right thing I just don't want another MB coach who is married to his assent coaches and takes for ever to get one of them fired because he isn't doing his job. Absolutely agree. Everything I've read about Lincoln Riley is that he is the real deal. Their offense was the #3 red zone scoring offense in the country, 118 TD's out of 164 tries (72%).

Don't forget the defense that Strong/Bedford have fielded for years, including the contributions of Brian J-M! He is considered an excellent linebacker coach.

I trust Coach Strong to continue to make good choices in regard to his assistants. If he thinks Watson is the best guy for the OC job, given the talent he appears to be pulling together otherwise, then I'm not qualified to second guess him. Frankly, but for the splash hire aspect of things, and the doom and gloom crowd, I don't think anyone on this board is qualified to second guess him either. No matter who is OC, the sky is not falling, we aren't going to go 6-6, we aren't going to lose all our recruits, we aren't going to be a laughing stock. Have a little faith in our leader, and let our leader lead. If we are terrible through 5 or 6 games next year and Coach Strong and his picks are to blame, then let hell fire rain. But, 'til then, chill. Hook 'em!
