How about those Astros?

Luis Valbuena with two HRs helps secure the 7-5 W at Sesttle and the 'stros sit atop the division with a 7-6 record.

Is it too early to ask where to buy my World Series tix?

If the bats wake up this team can win 85-90 games.

I'm just happy they are on my TV again.  The Comcast debacle prevented me from watching a lot of Astros baseball.  Sure they inhaled forcefully but they are my team.  I am encouraged by the progress and the good start.  We will see if Jeff Luhnow's rebuilding strategy will be successful in the next 2-3 years.

the first time since 2007 they've been in first this 'late' in the season.

hey...i'll take it.

With a 5-run 8th, the red hot 'Stros beat SEA 6-3 to increase their lead in the AL West and reduce their magic number to 147.

(indulge us for a while non-astro fans. we've spent most of a decade wandering in the wilderness. we're a little giddy)

My 'stros cap doesn't know what to think. It's been dusted off and getting to be seen in public early and often this season.

I'm able to go to Corpus Christi once or twice a year and always take in a couple of Hooks games (Astros 2A club).  They are stacked this year.  I think as many as 7-10 of these guys will get to majors soon- although it may not be with the Astros.  I imagine some will be traded, but they are fun to watch and don't cost a fortune to see.
