As all of you are aware, I have been a member on other sites for years. When I first signed I was naive to the fact that everyone used an alias on the internet. As most of you know, I never have and I never will and I'm proud of the fact that I do not find it necessary to hide behind my keyboard. I was also naive to the fact that people will write something that they would not say to that persons face.

I never understood what kind of satisfaction anyone could derive from that? I still don't.

I have been labeled an "insider" on these message boards. I have repeatedly stated that in my opinion an "insider" either works or plays for one our programs. I do neither. I have been fortunate to be close to some that do in some capacity. This allows me to hear about some topics before they are made public and I have always enjoyed sharing what I hear with my Longhorn brethren. IMO, this has allowed me to be conduit of sorts and I have been a damn good one too!

Joining Hornsports approximately 7 weeks was one of the best decisions I have made. When I go back and visit the other boards, I'm amazed I tolerated staying in that type of environment for so long? The behavior of the members here has been outstanding. You all are just a good group of people. I know for a fact there are a bunch of you that I would would want in my foxhole.

"I" got the outcome Brown/Saban saga incorrect. However, what I did share with you all was not made up or wishful thinking on my part. This is a free site so, page views & increased traffic does not mean anything to us. And although this site is presently free for all the members, it is not free those of us that provide our time & resources to run it. I will be honest, this takes up a lot of time that would be spent doing other things.

So I'm going to ask those of you that believe you have the right to be critical, think about who and what it is you are really being critical about? If it does not appear that you are having any fun on this board, I will do you a favor and let you go.

Agreed. There are so many angles and dynamics at play in a situation like this that no decision is 100% till it's 100%. I'm still not convinced that we as fans should have wanted Saban, IMO... Style wise, integrity wise, leader of young men wise, etc. UT has handled this whole scenario in a manner that is making a mockery of the administration. I appreciate your reporting and if nothing else it's made this past week incredibly entertaining. Keep doing good work.

Like the vast majority on this board, I don't personally know any BMDs, coaches, or current players. Unfortunately, the older players I know are completely out of the loop. Please keep posting what you hear. We appreciate the information, and we should all understand that it is an educated opinion. In this case, MBTF and JJ out-flanked the opposition (US). The mere thought of MBTF surpassing DKR's record makes me want to puke. Like you, I've never felt the need to hide behind an internet moniker.

I agree. Joining Hornsports was absolutely a great decision and I love every second I spend on this site. I enjoy the posters here and the discussion. I enjoy knowing that someone like McPhaul is completely ok with posting his phone number for members to call him on if they have an issue. This place is only going to get better, regardless of who the coach is and it's people like McPhaul and Aaron and Mike and Johnny who are going to make it that way.

McPhaul, you are the reason I am here and the reason I will stay. I hope this board will remain a place members can express -- respectfully express -- opinions. Hopefully things will remain civil and not get out of hand like on other sites. I've been frustrated by the tone of many posts since last night, but I do know those members have the right to have the opinions they do. I do wish some of them would just vent and then not hit send. In the meantime, I'll wait and watch how this all plays out with the rest of you.

Hey MP, I get it and don't have a problem with you missing. That is why I try to get people to take in the information and draw your own conclusion. People tend to get butt hurt because the get caught up in side of the story they want to believe and forget that there is always an opposite side of the story that creates a fluid situation.

You Chip, EM, JS, UTX, Nuufola and a few others are always good in my book. I understand shot changes.

As for the name, I have never truly hidden behind my name as I have links that have my name in it.

Anyway I do appreciate you not hiding as that always makes it worse.
