The Longhorns are anywhere from a 14-15 point favorite over Kansas this Saturday in Lawrence, depending on which sports-book you read.  Texas is 1-2 on the season with a win over North Texas (& losses to BYU & UCLA) while KU is 2-1 with wins over SE Missouri State & Central Michigan (& a loss to Duke).

For what it is worth, the KU loss to Duke is nothing to be ashamed about.  The Blue Devils are 4-0 & have one of the best offenses in the country.

Is Texas that much better than Kansas?  Are the Jayhawks primed to upset Texas at home and move to 3-1?  I can remember several times in the last 10 years when the Longhorns had to pull a rabbit out of the hat to beat the Jayhawks.

Let's hear what you think.

Put it this way, I'm convinced North Texas is better than Kansas.

Confidence builder for the Horns this week.

Texas wins, but I don't think we cover.

Texas will roll Kansas by running the football against a pretty weak KU front. This is tailor made for Texas to get its run game going, and theyve had two weeks to prepare for the Jayhawks (FML did I just say that).....

Yes.  Horns should win by 28-35.  Kansas is terribad this year.

i just hate laying that many points. we could be up 31-10 and on cruise control and they get a garbage time TD to cover.
Generally I would agree with that but the coaches can't afford to let any momentum gained by rolling fade away by allowing trash points... No trash points here, IMO.

If the line were <10, I'd take UT.  Gimme KU with the 14.5 or 15 because bad things can and do happen in Lawrence.

I say don't be afraid of the points. We're facing an offense that doesn't protect the ball well and is pretty green. Our defense will score at least one TD in this game.

I've been doing my research. This game won't be close.

When you read my Opponent Overview/Position Matchups on Thursday, you'll get a good understanding why.

I think you are wrong about the loss to Duke being nothing to be ashamed about, Duke pulverized them, and although Duke may have a great offense, they are nothing to brag about.

The two wins were against cupcakes.

Jury's out on Duke.  Their first real test is this week vs. FSU.
