Horns Baseball gets a 2020 commit

Yea, we need hitters. If I remember right, we had 1 player in the starting line-up hitting over .300. You watch some of the Supers & CWS and teams have the majority of their line-up hitting over .300.

Dylan also plays on the same summer team(Houston Kyle Chapman) as Tanner Witt(Class of 2020 commit). When Tanner is playing SS, Dylan is either playing 2nd or 3rd, that is where I project him.

Campbell is also a two-sport star where he is a very good running back and defensive back. He is 5-11 200lbs where he is developing his bat. Short compact swing which lends to gappers.

Thank you @joeywa for posting my latest BP video of Dylan.

Horns also picked up a commitment tonight from a 2022 RHP from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, Matthew Porchas.
Porchas is the number 2 rank player in the nation for the class of 2022, he has a strong body and generates easy velocity, upper 80's fastball already from a lower release point, fast arm.

Pierce and Co are busy this week.

Just got a commitment from a JUCO RHP prospect who's playing in the Cape right now.  Soph RHP Dawson Merryman from Midland College.

That kind of ranking usually makes it difficult for a kid to make it to campus, but we'll see how it goes.

Class of 2021 Joshua Stewart from Saint Dominic Savio pulled the trigger earlier today.

WOW, Pierce needs to give some of that mojo to Tom Herman. Pierce is killing it.

No way to know whether Pierce is killing it until we see them perform. That means they get to campus and his evaluations are good. So far I’m not terribly impressed with his evaluations but it is a small number and maybe they will improve next season.

RHP Levi Wells, La Porte High School, has opened up his recruiting again after being committed to the University of Houston.

Wells will be visiting A&M and Texas over the next week.

Wells will also be playing for the Area Code Baseball team, The Rangers out in California in August.

I could see him committing after this event.

I’m hearing that a visit to Texas will not take place.
