Highlights of Texas Media Day

Ash looked and sounded very composed today. He appears to be ready to go on Aug. 31. That's a big positive for Texas fans.

Great job today bud.

Sports radio, newspapers and everyone is caught up in distractions like not having Longhorn stickers on helmets. Reading between the lines, I think the coaches are happy about this because the result is nobody is talking about football.

They're quietly confident.

The overriding message I get from this presser is some players still have a sense of entitlement.

CFS and staff are not here to coddle and blow smoke up these players' asses.  I love how the staff has reviewed last year's film with each player individually.  Bottom line, they've gotta bring it every time they step on the field - both practice and games.

The "Eye in the Sky" don't lie.  CFS and staff shouldn't either.

"A lot of times, players really think they're going hard, and they're not going the speed or the tempo we would like.  Even now with practice tape, I still pull it off, and I'll watch it.

I just say, 'hey, this is not acceptable, or this is really a good job today.'  But you have to show them so they know just how hard they're working.  They understand that now.  Guys don't like to be embarrassed.  They want to go hard because sometimes it can be a very embarrassing situation for them." - Charlie Strong
