always appreciate the HS football roundup SHA.  Not living in Texas these days has me scrambling for scores across the great state of Texas.  Luckily I've found a Southwest Football Friday for my phone where i can see most scores.

Although this isn't a Texas school mascot, I thought I would include the Freeburg Midgets in Illinois into the list.  Couldn't believe my eyes when i first got up here that the school kept the mascot in todays society.

Also, I always thought Comfort, Tx was interesting for the fact the boys teams were called the Bobcats, but the girls teams were the Deer.

joeywa: I read earlier where you posted your son had suffered an injury and would miss the rest of his senior season in football. I'm sorry he

suffered the injury and I hope he can heal up in time to play baseball. I admired the things you said about overcoming and working through

such things. I wish you and he the best in overcoming this adversity. What you said demonstrates great character and and the right way

to deal with the adversities life throws upon us. Overcoming adversity builds great character...like I said, I wish your son the best in getting

well from his injury. Hope he has a great senior season in baseball and can get college offers for playing baseball in college.
